This is a slightly unusual au-pair position as we are a household consisting of parents, two children ages 8 years and 8 months as well as (young) grandparents. My father is a lawyer. My mother and I are both schoolteachers. My husband works in the building trade. We live in a large 4 bedroom house in Nottingham, which is a vibrant city in the centre of England. You would have your own room. There are language classes available in the city should you need them. There are two large Universities and therefore many young people from many countries with whom to socialise.
We would ask you to help to care for the children, as all four adults go out to work. We would also require a little more housework than for and ordinary au-pair position for which we would pay extra. This is in the home of the grandparents, where we all live. They have very positive experience of having au-pairs when we were younger.
