We are a friendly, active and easy-going family looking for a Norwegian speaking au-pair to join us from June 2015. We are a French/Norwegian couple with a lovely 2.5 year old girl and we have been living in London for over 10 years so we have a lot to share culturally! You will be expected to speak Norwegian to our daughter (but will have plenty of opportunities to learn English and some French too if you want!)
We are in Tufnell park (North London), a lovely neighborhood with some nice restaurants, coffee shops, playgrounds. We live on a quiet residential road , 5 min to the tube (Northern line - easy and quick access to Camden, West End, St Paul etc). Our house was completely refurbished to very high standards earlier this year. You will have you own double room with wifi, South facing (garden side). We have a large living room / dining room and a separate TV room. We both work full time and our daughter goes to nursery everyday. We need someone to do about 25/30 hours a week and 1 or 2 nights of babysitting per week. You will help in the morning to get our daughter ready and take her to nursery and in the afternoon/evening to take her to the park, do some stimulating activities with her, give her bath, prepare diner and get her ready for bed. Monday to Friday. You will also help with light household duties including laundry, tidying up, emptying the dishwasher etc. (We have a cleaner coming every week.) We want someone who can build a strong relationship with our daughter, contribute to her development and have her best interest at heart. You need some experience looking after babies/young children (our daughter is still in nappies).
