We are a young, fun-loving, British family with West African origins. We have a beautiful 5 year old daughter who is very cheerful. We live in Leighton Buzzard which is a small town very close to big cities like London, Luton and Milton Keynes. Central London is only 30 mins away by train and the other cities are about 20 mins away if driving (about 5 mins by train). We need someone who is clean and tidy, mature and respectful and really knows how to look after young children. Someone who is patient and also hardworking.
1. Preparing our daughter for school in the morning - This means waking her up at 6.45am, giving her a bath and breakfast. We leave the house at 7.30am so we can drop her in school by 8am. 2. Picking her up from school at 3.30pm. We have a local bus that will take you to the school and bring you back home. When she is at home with you she will need babysitting (i.e. food, bath and prepared for bedtime in the evening). 3. Weekly household chores - whilst our daughter is in school we would like you to assist with some light household chores. Here is the current cleaning routine we have with our aupair. Mondays - Hoover and dust rooms. Tuesdays - iron our daughters clothes only. Wednesday - clean bathrooms and empty bins. Thursday- no cleaning required Friday - Hoover and dust ground floor only. Empty bins and general refresh for the weekend. Kitchen and living room should be kept clean and tidy everyday. You will have your own room with double bed, wardrobe and storage, tv, DVD player, CD player and Internet access. You are not required to work at weekends. We will pay £100 per week. We have had a very good record with our previous au pair choosing to stay with us for 2 years. our current Au pair is on a 6 month placement which will sadly come to an end in January. We are generally easygoing and pride our past relationships with aupairs on mutual respect.
