Hello,we are full time working parents of a four year old boy. Any nationality welcomed however Czech would be preferred as we would like our son to learn the Czech language. I'm Czech, my husband's English. We live half an hour away from the Bristol Airport; Easyjet Airline is affordable and reliable flying from Prague to Bristol; I would of course pick you up from the Airport regardless what time your plane would land. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and most importantly initiative Au-Pair Plus who would spend most of the time with our son and a young large (slightly crazy) dog outdoors. If you are interested in improving your English and exploring UK we might be the right family for you. You would have most evenings free to study and socialise. I used to be an Au pair too and enjoyed the experience very much as no English classes would replace living in England. As an Au-Pair Plus you would be treated as a friend and as a part of our family. You would be accommodated in your own room with wireless Internet, a wardrobe, double bed, toilet, shower corner, satellite TV, DVD player, iron, kettle, hair dryer, etc. This would provide you privacy. We live in a lovely area next to the river Avon. It takes 10-15mins by a bus to reach city centre. Bus stop is 10mins walking distance from our house. We live in an end terrace house that is welcoming and kept tidy. We have a small garden, the Au Pair's room is nice and spacious; actually it's the biggest room in the house.
Our son to be taken out almost daily (no matter if it rains or the shines), to nurseries, libraries, city museum, animal city farm and play areas (all entrance fees for you and our son are pre-paid). Our dog is young but quite big and still slightly crazy therefore dog control, training assistance and daily walks are also required. You would be working mostly mornings and early afternoons, which means you would have most afternoons and evenings free for your studies and socialising. Our son is starting school in September and the daily schedule will be adapted accordingly. I'm happy to recommend English courses and classes including free ones if there are still available (based on experience of our previous Au Pairs). Normally Au Pairs need to do evening babysitting twice a week...we would only require an occasional evening babysitting. Household duties are required, i.e. washing up dishes, cleaning kitchen floor, dusting, hoovering, etc. basically clean as you go duties to help out however the focus is on spending a quality time with our son and the dog. We speak English when my husband is at home however I would like you to speak to our son in Czech when you are alone for him to get used to the Czech language. I try to speak to him in Czech too however when my husband is around we skip to English. Contract would be issued, we would register you with our doctor. We look forward to hearing from you.
