Hello! We are looking for an au-pair to join our family from August 2017. We have 2 children: Olivia who is 8, and Edward who is 6 ( nearly 7). We would like our au pair to be an extension of our family and feel very at home with us. The children are generally well behaved and we expect them to have good manners and understand how to welcome new people in to our home. We are looking for someone who is fun, confident and playful, someone who likes the outdoors, going swimming or to the park and playground. We would like someone for our children who is caring, warm, loving, patient and flexible. We would like you to be punctual, reliable and honest. One key criteria is that you can drive. The children's school is about 30 minutes drive away.
We would welcome you openly in to our family. You would have your own double room with private bathroom. The bedroom has a desk, sofa and TV in so you can have your own privacy. Our house is spacious so everyone has lot of space of their own. We also have wifi throughout. Responsibilities:- 25- 30 hours per week, plus 2 nights of babysitting each week. You would be responsible for getting the kids up and breakfasted and off to school, then collect the children from school and take them to any clubs/playdates that are arranged. In the school holidays, we would need you to work longer hours but we will pay you extra for that. We don’t expect you to work at all during the day at the weekend. The job will be predominantly centred around looking after the children: picking up and dropping off at school, providing meals for them, playing with them, bathing and putting them to bed if we are not around. There would be some very light housework involved which may include putting the washing away, tidying up after meals, helping the children tidy the playroom and some sometimes ironing. We have a cleaner who comes weekly so there is no expectation for you to do more than this.
