We are looking for a confident bubbly person with some experience of looking after children. We are looking for someone who can speak basic English and who is keen to learn the skills required to look after a child on the autism spectrum as our son has this condition. We are a happy and busy family and whilst we don't need loads of hours and the au pair will have quite a bit of free time we need someone who can be very accepting of our child with additional needs and very kind and caring and good at following a routine with him. You don't need to have massive of special needs experience the right attitude and the ability to think on your feet.
Looking for after school au- pair for 2 children. Daughter is 5 and attends a local school and Son is 7 and attends a special needs school a taxi drops him home at the end of his day. We are looking for an au pair to help primarily with afterschool care, once per week babysitting in an evening and a little bit of time ad hoc at the weekends to help us out or give us a short break. We live in a nice house with a big garden in a small village, which is next to Princes Risborough with a few more facilities. The aupair could have use of a car to get about there is also local bus transport and the train station which you can get into London centre in about 40 mins. The au pair will have a large double room with en suite facilities. The husband works from home so should their ever need to be a back up pair of hands or advice needed he will be available in the afternoons. Our son does have special needs (autism) this means he needs careful watching whilst in your care, we can provide all advice and training with us in meeting his needs. He has challenges with communication, social integration and sensory issues. We do have strategies in place to handle issues which we would need help with implementing consistently with him. Our son is an active boy he loves playing in the garden, bouncing on the trampoline, walking our puppy and going swimming at the local pool. our daughter is relaltively quiet and shy until you get to know her but she loves stories, princesses, arts and crafts and playing with her friends and dolls she is also loves playing in the garden and playing and walking the puppy. We would like someone who can prepare healthy foods for the kids at their mealtimes. We are a busy family who normally has lots on and things to do at the weekends we would like the au pair to be involved in days out at the weekends if they wanted to. During the school holidays there may be times where we would ask for a few extra hours to help out but this would be paid if above what we would normally use. We do have a small puppy (Labrador) 14 weeks old so needs to be someone who is ok with dogs.
