Hi Au Pairs.. We are a family of musicians looking for a caring, honest and enthusiastic au pair to be a 'big sister' to our two wonderful boys. I have a new album out in June and we will be playing concerts around the UK so we're looking for someone to help with our lovely kids at this time. If you are going to apply. our kids are very good (they have their moments as all children do) who are very respectful of our au pairs and look upon them as part of the family. We want any au pair who comes to us to be warm and loving towards them as well as having the confidence to assert themselves as the adult when we aren't around. We need flexibility in anyone we choose because the hours of our work can be very changeable. We try to look after our au pairs very well, making sure they have plenty of time for themselves and we encourage them to explore and have fun. We want someone who can bring fun and joy to the boys, who can help with homework and Lego building and play crazy games with knights and castles and Disney characters. Someone who can pick them up from school sometimes, someone who is interested in music enough to want to come on the road with us when we do concerts (we like the children to come as often as possible) Someone who doesn't tire easily, someone who is open minded, un prejudiced and honest. Someone who has a love of life and a spark about them. Someone who is energetic and confident. Is this you? If so, we'd love to hear from you. ABOUT US: I'm Thea, I'm 36 and I'm a professional musician & songwriter. My work consists of time spent in the recording studio mixed with a lot of work from home, whether that is writing or admin work and then, concentrated touring periods where we'll be doing concerts. My husband, Nige, is also a songwriter and a producer. We work very closely together, we do concerts across the country together and he also works with different musical artists in the studio. We live in a small town in Cheshire (northern UK) called Nantwich. It is a beautiful and very historic town full of bars and coffee shops. It is 1.5 hours by rail from London and 1 hour by train from Manchester and Liverpool. Its a great position to explore the country because we're right in the middle so you can get anywhere pretty quickly. Our au pairs have a private room with a private bathroom in our house and it is about 10 minutes walk to all the shops, cafe's, restaurants and bars as well as the railway station. And now the most important bit.. we have two wonderful boys. Egan is 10 years old, he is polite, caring, loves books, adores Lego and is a great violin player (he plays onstage with us at times) Asher is 5 years old, he is funny, really loving, LOVES all his previous au pairs and insists that he wants to be a drummer when he grows up. As I have an irregular job, my aim is to balance work with spending time with Egan and Asher and we have found that having a 'big sister' in the house brings such a lot to the boys and to us too. The au-pair programme is fabulous. We have had au pairs in the past, we now consider them our good friends (you're very welcome to contact them yourselves as they can give you lots of insight into our daily life) Our au pairs have a lot of free time. Both the boys are at school between 08:50 and 15:10 on Monday to Friday so all that time is free. When we're on tour, doing concerts, the children come as often as possible, so our au pairs would usually come too, which can be a great way to see a more of the c
