Personal introduction

Hello My name is Liz and my husband is Lionel. We are Christian family of 4, a very friendly, welcoming and loving family. Lionel works long hours in the city (Canary Wharf London) We have two delightful children. Isabella and Sebastian. We have a beautiful long haired brown Maine Coon cat called Molly. Very sweet and friendly keeps herself to herself most of the time. Usually likes to come up onto the bed for story time! Room facilities and car access are two bonus factors. We have a separate log cabin in the back garden for the aupair. It's only a few metres from the house and no external access to the back garden which makes it completely safe too. Both the last two years au pairs have found this to be a particularly attractive feature as they have their own uninterrupted space and privacy. You are welcome to come and go as you please evenings and weekends and you have Monday mornings and Friday after school off. There will be lots of perks like coming out for dinner and day trips with us if you want to etc We have a cleaner twice a week too. We are looking for a enthusiastic, kind, caring, patient and charming student who is likely to be on a gap year before going to university with a good level of English as our children are still obviously learning to speak, read and write. It's important our au pair enjoys spending time with children as that's what it's all about.

The Au pair's job

I need some help at crucial hours - getting up and out and walking children to school (0700- 0845) and picking up again (15:10). Dinner bath and bed is usually done by me 630-730. By which time the evening is yours. We may occasionally go out for a meal or to the cinema or theatre. Playing with the kids is really the most helpful task. Especially when I'm studying. Outside of helping with the children the evening meal is one of the most helpful jobs. I tend to tidy as I go but there are usually a few extra things towards the end of the day. There is no rigid structure although the week days look roughly the same. We have a laid back and flexible approach.
