Dear Au Pair, if you always have to smile when you're looking at children and love to play and have fun with them, then you are exactly the right au-pair for us: There is always something going on in a house with three girls! We live in the suburbs of the beautyful city of Freiburg (Schwarzwald) and look for a friendly, responsable, open-minded and creative person, that likes arts (musik, drama) as much as we do and wants to live with us between 2 and 3 months. The three girls are 4, 5 and 7 years old and attend kindergarten and school (each at 300m distance from our home). They all make music (play the piano, the guitar, and sing) and like sports. We, the parents, work as a scientist and a medical doctor and speak English, and a bit of French. We give our best to realize a warm-hearted family atmosphere, mixed with mutual respect and fairness. About 1.5 years ago we have moved from Berlin to this place. Since we are kind of settled now in the new environment, the mother wants to start working again. We will certainly travel to Berlin and occasions, and maybe you would like to join us sometimes? For hobbies we like to sing and spend time in nature, meet friends or go to the movies sometimes. We love outdoors activities more than pink plastic toys... We encourage your application if you are experienced with children and warm-hearted. We seek to talk about eventual problematic issues early instead of ignoring them - thus you would best fit in if you share this mind-set.
Dear future Au-Pair! Are you looking for a family that heartly embrances you? Just look at our full profile! Talking about routines - we would need your support in our morning procedures (preparing breakfast, taking the kids to kindergarden or make sure they get to school) and in the afternoon: picking the kids up from kindergarden, maybe prepare a meal and take care of them (for 3 hours typically) before one of us parents is back from work and can take over. This includes taking the children to hobbies or friends or maybe invite friends of them to our house. A few times per month, we might need to work longer or have obligations during the evenings. Besides the listed activities that concern our children, we would appreciate to experience some relief in our current load of daily household routines. You could live in your own beautiful room with two windows, one providing a view onto the nearby vineyard and the other one onto the sunset. You could use your own shower room. While the children are at school/kindergarden or in the evenings or on weekends you can explore the surroundings, e.g. the beautiful "Black Forest" mountains, wineyards, or the nearby University town of Freiburg (~230000 inhabitants, approx. 14 minutes by train). The train station is ~200m from our home and it also takes you to the center of Waldkirch (~3km) where you can find the closest language school (~5km).
