We are a young couple (28 and 31) living in Hamburg, Germany with our beautiful baby daughter Annie-Méabh. Some words to describe us: European, German, Irish, open, friendly. Ciaran - Annie-Méabh's daddy, works abroad for the EU while Anna is a secondary school teacher working part time while minding the child. As well as the three humans in the house in Hamburg, our dog and cat make up the family. We would like someone similarly sociable and friendly to join us to help with the baby and around the house. You should be independent and open to new experiences in a new city. We live 20 minutes by train from the city centre and we would like you to experience the fun of the city in your spare time! You should also like animals of course, particularly our friendly dog and cat! We would like our au-pair to make efforts to learn German as this would make things easier for him/her to enjoy themselves while here. Anna, as a native speaker, is of course willing to help. However, as Ciaran is out of the country frequently, we would like the au-pair to speak English to the baby to keep up her English language skills in her daddy's absence.
The au-pair should be able to mind the baby and pets while Anna works part time. This can involve walks in the nearby forest with both baby and dog and letting th cat in and out when he feels inclined. In addition, we would appreciate someone who could do some light housework such as hoovering, putting washed clothes on the washing line etc.
