We are a lively and fun family with 2 active kids and a large friendly dog called Stanley. We live in an old farmhouse in a small pretty village near the Cotswolds, a beautiful part of England. Caitlin our daughter loves One Direction (Louis is her favourite) and dancing. She is a bright, thoughtful and sensible girl and loves having an au pair as an older sister. Thomas is 8 and is football crazy so you will need to get your trainers out and play football in the garden. He is very active and loves all sport. Stanley needs to be walked and loved so please only contact us if you like dogs. Steven works locally for the NHS and I work in London for a magazine company. We need an au pair who is fun, kind and responsible. Our kids are growing up but they need an au pair who is a confident driver and take them to school and their activities out of school. We also need someone who can cook tasty, healthy food and is willing to be part of a family but also wants their independence to see the country and learn the language.
APPROXIMATELY 6.5 HOURS PER DAY (32.5 PER WEEK) 7.30 AM START Make breakfast for kids and prepare packed lunch. Empty dishwasher and after breakfast please make sure kitchen is tidy. Please help to keep children’s bedrooms tidy and put clean clothes away. Tidy the sitting room Please make sure kids are ready to leave for school at 8.30am. Drive children to school and ensure they have all their required bags (music/dance/sport) Please get these ready the night before. The school is approximately 5 miles from our house – it takes 10 minutes to drive. Depending on day of language study, you may have to go straight onto college after school run On other days please go back to the house and take Stanley (dog) for a 30 minute walk Between 10am and 15.15 your time is free PICK UP KIDS FROM SCHOOL AT 3.30 – SOME DAYS TOM OR CAITLIN HAVE AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS DANCE/TENNIS - SO YOU MAY NEED TO TAKE THEM TO THEIR LESSONS AFTER SCHOOL. AFTERNOON (3.30-7.15) Please give kids a healthy snack when they get home Play with the kids Prepare the kids supper and eat with the children around 18.00. On some days the children have activities after school so they may have to eat later When Steven is home, please take Stanley for a 2nd walk – this could be done in the afternoon before collecting the children on days they have late activities. Please wash & dry clothes in laundry basket on Wednesday.
