Hi, I am looking for an au pair to start with my family in mid April. Our current au pair needs to return to university and her summer commitments. We are a single parent family with two young children. I work in London and need the support around the house, particularly in the evenings. I am looking for a person that will get on with the children, show initiative to get things done around the house, and is a warm, friendly and trustworthy person. We are a flexible family and we also need you to be flexible.
Our au pair will need to help with the morning routine. I am around in the mornings and have breakfast with the children before leaving at 7.45am to take Amelia to the school bus stop. On a Monday and Friday, Elliot attends a local nursery within walking distance from 9-4pm. You will need to drop him off and pick him up. Our current au pair has Elliot on a Tuesday and Wednesday as there are currently no places. All day Thursday is your own time as I drop off and pick up the children. Weekends are generally free as I pop out with the children to meet friends. You will be invited to join us on our activities and this is your choice if you wish to attend. During school holidays, you will have Amelia for which you will get some extra money for and I will also organise for you to take her to the cinema and other activities. You will also need to help me with the housework so that we both keep on top of it and the house is clean and tidy. Sometimes with work I may need to be away overnight so you will be required to manage the night time routine and the following morning when you are all up.
