Personal introduction

Dear family, My name is Kirsty and I am a 19 year old female who currently lives at home with her family in a small town in Scotland. I am currently working in a restaurant as a bartender/ waitress. I have always been described as someone who is independent, hard working, caring and determined which I feel are good personal traits for a role model to have. I believe I would be an excellent addition to any family as I am neat, tidy and organised, skills which I believe are essential for any au pair. Growing up in a small town in Scotland with all my close relatives living no longer than 30 minutes away, I feel there is a lot about the world and other peoples culture I don't know about that I am keen to learn. I would describe myself as being a people person and find it easy to socialise as well as being able to adapt to change. I have a real love for many different types of music and enjoying reading, keeping fit and eating healthy. For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in a career that involves caring for and helping others. While not only caring for your children, I hope to be able to help you, the parents, in your day to day tasks. I wish to become an au pair abroad because I would love to not only learn, but experience other people's culture and way of life. I feel like taking care of children in a culture different to my own I will learn a lot from them and believe they will learn a lot from me.
