Personal introduction

Hi my name's Esme! I am currently working as an au pair in Spain, and having a wonderful time. As I starting a Spanish and Italian degree at Cambridge university in September 2015, I am very excited about the possibility of experiencing Italian life and culture through living with a family. I feel passionately about language learning and the doors it can open. I would love the chance to help you or your child/ren improve their English and understanding of my culture. I currently teach English to a 4 year old, 9 year old and 12 year old and really enjoy seeing their language skills developing! Although my parents live separately, I live in an open and warm family environment, and I would be looking for a family abroad which could offer the same. I get on really well with children of all ages, and have experience of childcare through looking after my sister, younger cousins and babysitting. My sister and I have a great relationship, despite an age gap of 6 years. In my spare time, I enjoy going out with friends, singing, reading, painting and drawing, visiting museums (I love art) and camping/walking with my mum and sister. I take a keen interest in current affairs and I care deeply about the world around us. I also have a love for animals and could help care for any you may have. I would be more than happy to help by doing tidying, cooking or light housework. I would offer the chance to practice or learn English with a well spoken and educated native speaker.
